Natural Sequence Farming (NSF) is a rural landscape management technique aimed at restoring natural water cycles that allow the land to flourish despite drought conditions. NSF offers a low-cost, widely applicable method of reducing drought severity and boosting productivity on Australia’s farm and landscapes. The technique is based on ecological principles, low input requirements and natural cycling of water and nutrients to make the land more resilient.

The Field Day includes the theory of the 5 pillars of NSF and a practical demonstration on how to build contours to slow the water across your landscape.

Morning tea and lunch are included.

Please BYO water, hat, sunscreen and walking boots.

Things you'll learn:

  • An introduction into what Natural Sequence Farming is all about
  • An overview of our five pillars to Natural Sequence Farming and some tips into how you can start implementing them on your landscape
  • A paddock walk to start learning about landscape function
